Reminders
Quiet nudges timed to the real cadence — never a daily buzz you'll learn to ignore.

Steer's reminders are deliberately calm. Because Steer predicts when a habit is due, it can nudge you at the right moment — a few days before your haircut is likely needed, not every single morning. No noise, no alarm fatigue.
How they're timed
Reminders are tied to each habit's predicted next occurrence. As that date approaches, Steer gives you a gentle heads-up so you have time to act — book the appointment, schedule the service — before it slips.
Because the timing comes from your real rhythm, it adapts automatically: log a haircut early and the next reminder shifts earlier too.
Where reminders reach you
You choose your channels in Notification settings:
- Push notifications
You can turn each on or off, and set quiet hours so nothing disturbs you at night.
Fine-tuning what you hear about
Reminders are just one type of notification. In settings you can toggle each type independently:
- Predictions due — your habit nudges.
- Brief ready — your Daily or Weekly Brief is available.
- Price changes — a tracked expense is about to change.
- Trends — broader insights.
Tip
If a habit feels too noisy or too quiet, adjust its rhythm or your notification preferences — Steer is built to fit your life, not interrupt it.
One-tap confirm
Many reminders let you confirm the occurrence right from the nudge — one tap to say "done", and Steer rolls the prediction forward. No need to open the app and hunt for the habit.
Quiet by design
The whole point is that Steer earns its place by being useful, not annoying. Reminders arrive when they matter and stay silent when they don't — so you actually pay attention when one does come through.
