Steer Help

Settings overview

How settings are organised in Steer, and where to find each control.

3 min read

Settings live under You (the last tab) and are organised as a tidy set of grouped cards — never a flat dump of switches. Each group opens to its own page, and nothing is more than a couple of taps deep. Destructive actions are kept apart and always ask for confirmation.

The groups

Account details

The Account group is where your identity lives:

  • Name — how you appear in Steer.
  • Email — your sign-in address.
  • Language — Steer is English-only for now, with more languages on the way.
  • Currency — the default currency for all your money, used across finance. Searchable, so you can find yours fast.
  • Timezone — so "today" and "this week" — and every date and time Steer shows you — always mean your day and week. Searchable too.

Tip

Setting your currency and timezone early makes everything else line up — your money shows in the right currency and your goals and habits track to your local calendar.

Security

The Security group is where you change your password. For your safety, you'll need to enter your current password first, then choose a new one. That's it — quick and self-service.

Note

Signed in through a sandbox demo account? Those don't use a password, so password change isn't available there.

Help & about

There's also a Help & About area for support, what's new, the legal documents (terms and privacy), and the app version — so the essentials are always easy to find.

  • Contact support — its own page with a simple message form; send us a note and we'll reply by email.
  • Rate Steer — give a quick 1–5 star rating to tell us how it's going.

And from anywhere in the app, the speech-bubble button in the top bar (next to the notifications bell) opens a quick feedback box — tell us about a feature you'd love, an improvement, or a bug, in a couple of taps.
