Notifications
Choose how often you get an email digest, when it arrives, and what's in it.

Steer's notifications are designed to be helpful, not noisy. Instead of a stream of pings, Steer sends you a single, well-timed email digest — a calm round-up of what needs your attention. In Settings → Notifications you choose how often it comes, when, and what's in it.
How often
Pick the rhythm that suits you:
- Never — no digest at all.
- Daily — a look at the day ahead (today and tomorrow).
- Weekly — a look at the week ahead, sent on the first day of your week (the one you set in Preferences).
Note
New to Steer? Your digest starts on Daily at 8:00 AM by default — change it any time.
Desired time for digest
Choose the morning hour your digest should arrive — anywhere from 5 AM to 10 AM (8 AM by default). It's always sent in your timezone (the one set in Account), so it lands at the right moment wherever you are.
What's in your digest
Keep the parts you value and silence the rest — only the toggles you switch on appear in your digest:
A one-glance headline: how many goals are on track and how many habits are coming up.
Habits coming due in the period — your gentle, well-timed nudge to act.
Any goal that has slipped behind its pace, so you can catch it early.
A tracked expense that's about to change price within the period.
If you haven't set up goals, habits or finances yet, your digest will gently point you to the parts of Steer you haven't explored.
Newsletter
At the bottom of the page you can opt in or out of the Steer newsletter — occasional news, tips and product updates. It's on by default and entirely separate from your digest, so you can keep one without the other. No spam, and you can switch it off any time.
Why notifications stay calm
Because Steer predicts rather than pesters, your digest is tied to real timing — a habit that's genuinely due, a goal that's genuinely slipping. One calm email on your schedule, never a daily buzz for its own sake. More on reminders →
