History & timeline

Review every period, edit past entries, and see the whole story of a goal.

2 min read

The View history screen is where a goal's full story lives. Open it from the Goals screen to review progress over time, fix past entries, and see how each period went.

Opening history

On the Goals screen, tap View history to switch into the history view. It mirrors your goals — including a section at the bottom for completed and archived goals — so you can revisit anything, live or finished.

Want one goal in particular? Each goal card has its own history shortcut (the small chart icon) that jumps straight to that goal in the history view and opens it for you — no scrolling to find it.

What you'll see

Each goal expands to reveal its full progress:

  • A period strip showing every period at a glance — done, missed, ahead or behind — including the current period in progress (highlighted).
  • A progress chart for metric goals, plotting your values over time with your target marked, so you can see the trend toward the finish line.
  • A log of every entry, newest first.

Milestone goals show periods only (there's no number to chart) — each one clearly marked done or missed.

Edit anything

History isn't read-only. For any entry you can:

  • Change the date — move a log to the day it actually happened.
  • Change the value — fix a typo or update an amount.
  • Delete it — remove an entry entirely.

The moment you change something, your pace forecast and charts recalculate.

For milestone periods, you can flip a missed period to done (or the reverse) with a single action — useful when you did the thing but forgot to mark it.

Focus on a date range

Each goal's detail view has a date-range filter with handy presets based on its cadence. Narrow to last month, last quarter, or a custom window, and the chart, periods and log all update to match — great for reviewing a specific stretch.

Tip

Use the range filter on a recurring goal to spot patterns — like the months you consistently slip — so you can plan around them.

Completed and archived goals

When a goal is done or you've archived it, it leaves your main board and settles into a collapsible "Completed & archived" section — on both the Goals screen and the history view. Nothing is lost, and you can reopen an archived goal anytime to make it active again.
