Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 June 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Steer, the personal planning web application operated by APEX LABS Ε.Ε. (distinctive title “Apex Labs”), a limited partnership (Ετερόρρυθμη Εταιρεία / Ε.Ε.) with its registered seat at Pl. Ippodameias 8, 18531 Piraeus, Greece, VAT no. EL802389881 (Attica KEFODE Tax Office (Κ.Ε.ΦΟ.Δ.Ε. Αττικής)) (“Apex Labs”, “we”, “us” or “our”), available at steercopilot.com.
By creating an account or using Steer, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Please also read our Data & Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
1. What Steer is — and what it is not
Steer is a forward-looking personal planning tool that helps you organise your goals, habits and personal finances and presents them in a single, AI-assisted brief. In this version, personal-finance features are manual-entry and Steer does not connect to your bank; it never stores bank credentials.
Steer only suggests — it never acts on your behalf. It does not schedule, attend, organise or manage meetings, send messages, make bookings, move money, or carry out any other action for you. Everything it produces is a suggestion, reminder, estimate or projection. You are the sole person responsible for deciding on and carrying out your own actions, and for all consequences of taking, or not taking, any action.
Steer is an informational tool, not an adviser. Its forecasts, projections, simulations and AI-generated briefs are estimates for your own planning and are not financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting or medical advice. You should seek independent professional advice where appropriate.
Finance, projections and simulations. Steer’s balances, cash-flow and net-worth projections, and what-if simulations are illustrative estimates based solely on the figures and assumptions you enter; they will differ from real-world outcomes and are not financial or investment advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Steer bears no responsibility, liability or fault for any money you lose, or any other loss you suffer, in any form, as a result of relying on its projections, simulations, briefs or suggestions. Any financial decision, and its outcome, is yours alone.
2. Eligibility (18+)
By using Steer you declare that you are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Steer is not intended for and may not be used by minors.
3. Your account
To use Steer you create an account with a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate, current information.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy. We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, used the service unlawfully, or where required to protect the service, other users or us — acting proportionately and, where practicable, with notice.
4. Licence to use Steer
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable and limited licence to access and use Steer for your own private use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, sub-license or commercially exploit any part of the service, or use our name, logo or trademarks without our prior written consent.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Steer unlawfully or in breach of these Terms;
- upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, hateful or harmful;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or introduce malicious code;
- use automated means to scrape or harvest data, or circumvent usage limits or security;
- impersonate others or use another person’s account or payment means without authority.
6. Plans, billing and payments
Steer offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Pro starts with a 7-day free trial (no card required). Prices are shown in the app and include applicable VAT.
- Billing partner. Subscriptions are processed by our payment provider (Chargebee) and the relevant payment networks. We do not store your full card details.
- Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) at the then-current price, until cancelled.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan & Billing. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the paid period and then move to Free. Your data is retained.
- Price changes. We may change prices or plan features. We will give you reasonable advance notice on a durable medium before a change affects you, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
7. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
As a consumer in the EU you normally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 calendar days without giving a reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU as transposed by Greek Law 2251/1994.
Steer is supplied as a digital service. When you start a paid subscription, you expressly request that we begin providing it immediately and you acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun. The 7-day free trial lets you evaluate Steer at no cost beforehand, and you can cancel at any time to stop future renewals.
8. Connected apps
You may choose to connect third-party services (for example Google Calendar or a fitness tracker). By connecting a service you authorise Steer to access the data needed for that feature. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms, and you can disconnect them at any time. How we handle connected-app data is described in our Data & Privacy Policy.
9. AI features
Some features use artificial intelligence to summarise your data and suggest next actions. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate, is generated from the information you provide, and must not be relied on as professional advice. We keep meaningful human oversight over the service and your data is not used to train third-party AI models (see the Data & Privacy Policy).
10. Intellectual property
Steer, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and these Terms, is owned by Apex Labs or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. You retain ownership of the content you enter; you grant us the limited rights needed to host and process it so we can provide the service to you.
11. Availability and “as is”
We work to keep Steer available and reliable, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that forecasts will prove accurate, and we may carry out maintenance or change features over time.
12. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it cannot be excluded under Greek law, including liability for fraud (δόλος) or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer under Greek Law 2251/1994.
Subject to the above, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or decisions you make based on Steer’s informational output. Because Steer is a planning aid and not advice, you are responsible for verifying important decisions independently.
Without limiting the above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Steer is not responsible or at fault for any money you lose, or any other loss you suffer, in any form, arising from its forecasts, projections, simulations, briefs or suggestions, or from any action you take or decline to take. Steer only suggests; the decisions and the actions are yours.
13. Your data and privacy
We process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Greek Law 4624/2019, as described in our Data & Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You can export your data or delete your account at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes on a durable medium (such as by email or an in-app notice) and post the updated Terms with a new “last updated” date. Changes take effect as stated in the notice; continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Termination
You may stop using Steer and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access as described in section 3. On termination, the licence in section 4 ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, limitation of liability and governing law) continue to apply.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with Greek law. For any dispute that cannot be resolved out of court, the competent Courts of Athens, Greece shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection that entitles you, as a consumer, to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
17. Out-of-court dispute resolution
If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a complaint directly, you may refer the matter to the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή), an independent alternative dispute resolution body — 144 Alexandras Avenue, 11471 Athens; tel. +30 210 6460862; email [email protected].
