Set up your first day
The onboarding wizard gets you to a useful, already-populated brief in a handful of taps — never an empty app.

Steer is designed so you never stare at a blank screen. The first time you sign in, a short, skippable welcome sets you up using one-tap suggestions, so you land on a populated brief in a few taps.
Tip
Every step after your name is optional and everything is editable later. If you're not sure, tap through — you can replay the setup anytime from Settings → Help & About → Set up your account.
What the welcome walks you through
Tell us your name
Just your name — that's it. Steer detects your currency, time zone and language automatically from your device, so there's nothing else to fill in (it only asks if it can't tell).
Add a few goals
Tap suggestions like "Read more" or "Run a 5K", or write your own. Add as many as you like, and remove any with a tap.
Add some habits
Tap common ones — "Haircut", "Dentist", "Gym" — or add your own. Steer learns each one's rhythm and reminds you before the next is due.
Set up your money
Add an account or two, then your main income and expenses with a quick keypad. All optional — you can flesh this out later.
Land on your Brief
Finish and you arrive on a Daily Brief that's already filled in, instead of a blank state.
Skip now, finish later
Anything you add is saved as you go, and every step past your name can be skipped. Want to run through it again? Open Settings → Help & About → Set up your account anytime.
After setup
Once you're in, a few things are always within reach:
- The global "+" button opens the recipe picker from anywhere — the fastest way to add a goal, habit or expense.
- Suggestion cards appear over time (a predicted habit, a price change, an AI idea) — each is a one-tap Accept or Dismiss.
