Fitness & trackers
Let Strava and other trackers update your metric goals automatically. A Pro feature.

If you have activity goals — run 1,000 km, cycle every week, hit a step target — connecting a fitness tracker means you never have to log them by hand. Your activities flow straight into Steer and update your goals on their own.
Pro feature
Fitness and tracker sync is a Pro feature. See what Pro includes →
What it does
Connect a service like Strava and Steer listens for your activities. Each one is matched to the relevant metric goal and added automatically:
- Go for a 7 km run → your "Run 1,000 km" goal ticks up by 7.
- Your pace forecast recalculates instantly, with no logging.
- Your Daily Brief reflects the progress the next morning.
Connecting a tracker
Open Connections
Go to Settings → Connections and choose your fitness service.
Sign in securely
Authorise Steer through the service's own sign-in. Steer never sees your password, and the access is stored encrypted.
Link it to a goal
Point the connection at the metric goal it should update — for example, your running distance goal.
Just live your life
From now on, your activities update the goal automatically. Confirm or adjust anything if you like, but you rarely need to.
Which goals it works with
Auto-update works with metric goals — the ones that count toward a number (distance, sessions, time). Milestone (yes/no) goals don't take a value, so they aren't auto-updated. Metric vs milestone →
Staying in control
- See the last sync time in Connections.
- Disconnect anytime — your goal and its history stay; only the auto-updates stop.
- You can always add or edit progress manually alongside synced activity.
Tip
Pair this with a clear metric goal like "Run 1,000 km this year" and Steer becomes a hands-off coach — every run nudges the line, and the forecast tells you if you're on pace.
